A Peek at Weeks 2/10-2/21

Literacy

Due to the 100th Day, half day, Valentine’s Day, aaaand Preisdent’s day, we stretched this unit of our literacy curriculum over two weeks. Read more about what we learned below.

Math

This week we began our addition to 10 math unit. We started by making sure we have our addition facts to 5 solid before moving on. The parts of 5 are one of the most important foundational skills we work on in Kindergarten. We spent this week memorizing them. When we come back from vacation we will learn some addition strategies using bigger numbers. Below is a fun picture/word problem we did at school that you can try at home to test your parts of 5 facts!
